Camanachd Leòdhais finished the season with a 3-1 win over Strathglass in Cannich. After Paddy Wilson opened the scoring in the first half, Strath equalised with just under quarter of an hour remaining. Thankfully Ally Lamont restored the Dubh is Gorm advantage within a couple minutes and John Slaughter’s tenth of the season put the result beyond doubt.
The game also functioned as the John Stirling Cup in memory of the Strathglass stalwart of that name. Thanks to Strathglass for the opportunity to compete for this trophy. Strathglass president Roddie MacLennan presented the trophy to club captain Scott MacLeod.
The win also means that Lewis finish our season top of the table although results elsewhere in the division make it more than likely that one or both of Kilmallie and Lochaber will overhaul us if they win their games in hand.
