So first out, after a difficult few fixtures, the guys turned in a decent performance against Inverness, which could easily have been a banana skin. Duncan rolled back the years with a double, Ally Lamont grabbed his second in two games and Paddy also got off the mark for the season in a match which helped mark Diablo’s birthday with a desperately needed 4-1 victory against the Town.

Fairplay to Town goalscorer Allan Macleod and the rest of the Inverness guys, it was a more epic journey than usual for various reasons.  A credit that the City side always fulfills its fixtures no matter what, and we look forward to the rematch later in the season.

We also sent a team to the Far North Sixes – which featured some of the ladies who have been training with us of late in doing so they managed to secure 4 scoreless draws, including teams such as Strathglass Ladies, Caithness Men and 2014 winners KLB 1sts.  They only lost to a strong Lochbroom who won the senior section overall and KLB 2nds.  However, they were accompanied by Al Reed and Scott MacLeod who played in goals, and one of them won the Player of the Tournament (although at time of going to press, we aren’t sure which one because they had to leave early to catch the boat. Thanks to Trish and John for going over with them as well.

There is a rearranged fixture next weekend – the first team are away to Caberfeidh at Castle Leod in Strathpeffer.
