Whilst everyone was disappointed at the postponement for the second year running of Craig’s Sixes, there was good news to be had with Paddy Sinclair being named Young Person’s Coach of the Year 2025 by the Lewis & Harris Sports Council for his work with Camanachd na Hearadh. Paddy is part of a great coaching team helping shinty find its feet in Harris.
Emma Holmes MacKinnon who nominated Paddy said, “I couldn’t nominate our amazing coaching team as a whole unit, so I nominated them all individually with the same information. We’re very proud pf Paddy receiving Harris’ first trophy.”

Paddy follows in the footsteps of Andrew MacAskill and Scott MacLeod in 2019 and Al Reed in 2016 who have also received this award for LHSC. Paul Duke also received Sports Person of the Year in 2014 from LHSC.
