Outgoing Camanachd Association President Burton Morrison was in attendance for our game against Kilmallie on July 11th.
He was presented with a bottle of whisky to mark the occasion by Club Chieftain Henry MacInnes and Club Captain Scott MacLeod.
Burton saw an entertaining 3-3 draw with Kilmallie. Whether it was a point salvaged or a point dropped in the title race for Lewis remains to be seen, but goals by John Slaughter and Callum MacRitchie ensured a comeback draw after Kilmallie had led 3-1. Our opening goal was a club record equalling 72nd goal by co-manager Donnie MacRae.
Next weekend is the always exciting HebCelt Cup Final versus Uist at Bayhead, then all eyes turn to the Chieftain’s Cup Final at the Bught Park on 1 August!
