After the massive success of Campa an t-Samhraidh last summer, Camanachd Leodhais is delighted to be running Campa na Caisge – Easter Shinty Camp on Thursday 10 April and Friday 11 April.
This camp is for all youngsters who wish to develop their shinty skills, whether they are experienced players or absolute beginners, from Lewis & Harris or visiting for the holidays. Equipment will be provided but participants should bring their own equipment, suitably labelled, if they have it.
The camp was very successful last year, with 16 keen participants developing their skills under the watchful eye of expert coaches. Shinty Camp graduate Scott MacLeod went on to represent Skye & Wester Ross Under 14s in the District Championship and hopefully, several of the youngsters involved will develop into adult players.
The Camp will run from 11am – 3pm at Smith Avenue Astroturf in Stornoway. The cost is £4 per day.
