The club is celebrating getting through to our first ever national cup final. After an impressive comeback victory over Lochcarron at Drumnadrochit saw us into the Chieftain’s Cup Final 2026.

Thanks to Lochcarron also for having their free weekend arranged for the 18th of July as this meant the date for the Chieftain’s Cup Final was shifted to the 1st of August before the semi-final. This meant that we also did not have to cancel this year’s HebCelt Cup final against Uist.

The venue for the Chieftain’s Cup Final is the recently redeveloped Bught Park where we will face the might of Glengarry, three times finalists and two time winners of the Chieftain’s Cup.

Since the semi-final victory, we have had a mixed bag of weekends with a very strong Lovat side plundering a 3-2 victory from Fortress Shawbost and then we received the points from Inverness who failed to raise a team to travel, the points little consolation at not being able to have a game on the island, in particular with a free weekend on the 4th of July for Michael MacLeod’s wedding in Greece to the lovely Heather.

However, we had a great night out at our hospitality venue, the Lewis & Harris Rangers Supporters Club, for a fundraising quiz led by our own Chieftain Henry MacInnes which raised over a thousand pounds for club funds. Mìle taing a h-uile duine!

The club would also like to extend our sympathies to our former player Callum “Stompy” Stamper and his family after the death of his mother Eleanor last weekend. Stompy is a greatly loved member of the Camanachd Leòdhais family and everyone’s thoughts are with him at this difficult time.
