Update on the new season, fixture list should be out next Wednesday 8th February.

We will be joined in North Three by Strathspey Camanachd, and congratulate them on being accepted into the league and look forward to visiting them and also hosting them at Shawbost  – they are based at Freuchie Park near Grantown-on-Spey and are managed by Lawrence MacNeacail Belleni, a former Glasgow Uni teammate of Eoghan’s.

They of course replace Ardnamurchan, who dropped out of North Three to join development shinty but are now accepted into South Two, so best of luck to them, always good to see a shinty club keeping going through adversity.  We also get a name check from the Hugh Dan in this wee clip. http://www.bbc.co.uk/naidheachdan/16851270

However, we will not avoid a possible two-dayer to Lochaber with Kilmallie coming down from North Two – we should expect them to be of a similar standard as Skye Seconds.  We welcome them to the league and also extend them a warm welcome to Lewis when the fixture comes around.

Other than those additions and subtractions, we haven’t heard that there will be any change in the other teams with all of last year’s opponents entering teams as far as we are aware.

We have a game away to Glasgow University this Saturday, Throw Up 1pm, Peterson Park, Yoker.

All players should be at Yoker for 12 noon.

Squad: Eoghan, Scott, Stompy, Andy, Ally MacKenzie, Innes Lamont, Ally Lamont, Sean, Jordan, Kenny Mould, Micheal, James (Sean’s friend)

Bring £2 for pitch hire and ref.
