In many ways almost a carbon copy of last year’s result, a stunning day beside Loch Linnhe, Ben Nevis in all its glory, a keeper in tremendous form, Kenny Mould making an appearance and a great first half performance which saw us enter the interval at 0-0. That’s where the similarities end because it was a great shift by the boys on Saturday, unlike last year where we capitulated from the off in the second half, the Caol side were made to fight every inch of the way for their first and second goals from Ross MacKenzie and Brian MacKay on 68 and 82 minutes respectively. MacKenzie popped up late on to take advantage of our makeshift defence at that point to complete his hat-trick in the 87th and 88th minutes. However, we can be proud of the performance of a team which was missing some regular starters against a team who have a 100% record at the top of the table. Conor was in splendid form between the posts and Innes Lamont was a standout at buckshee back.

Those lads who attended Sean’s Stag Dubh is Gorm in Inverness also had a fine time and we look forward to he and Joanne’s nuptials which also coincide with a Kilmallie game.

The club has relaunched our Facebook profile – the group is now to be reserved for club members and players but we have created a fan page https://www.facebook.com/CamanachdLeodhais so that we can publicise the great progress the club is making on and off the park.

Our Sgitheanach cousin’s also gave us the honour of being the focus for their traditional April Fool this year, http://skyecamanachd.com/news/2013-Balliemore-Cup-Final-Set-For-Lewis.htm Great to see at least a couple of people fell for it! As much as we one day want to see a senior final at Shawbost, we very much doubt that it will be on a Sabbath!

Next Fixture will be away against Lochbroom on 13th April. Please let Diablo know of your availability.
