Loads of shinty recently.  Beauly came over to Shawbost on the 18th and a very young Lewis team made them work hard for a 4-0 win.

We then travelled over to Lochcarron on the 25th, where we were pushing hard and were only 1-0 down at halftime with the momentum swinging our way when the Carrainich put on Gregor Cushnie, who is a regular scorer for their first team.  Final score 4-1 to the mainlanders but Donald scored a penalty (our first ever conversion!).  Also Mille taing to Skye Camanachd for lending us some strips as the penalty taker had left ours behind – should make an interesting part of the MacTV documentary that!

Next up this weekend (2 July) is Aberdeen University, who are flying at the top of the league.  This is our home fixture, but thanks to Lochbroom, we are getting to use Inverlael for the day.  The game throws up at 1.30pm and the referee is John Sloggie.

The weekend after should be Strathglass, although they have been struggling to raise a team of late and the weekend of the 16th is the HebCelt in Stornoway.  Bring it on!
