Unfortunately, last Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Lochcarron was cancelled due to an unplayable pitch in Lochcarron and no other pitches being available. Hopefully, we will have time to play them later in the year.

Youth is the key to the future – Lochcarron Game News

We are scheduled to play Lochcarron for the Roddy Blind Cup this Saturday at Battery Park in our only pre-season friendly.

With weather in Wester Ross a little fliuch, the Carranaich are investigating alternative arrangements but all being good, we will face our friends at 1.00pm.

Of note is the number of youth in the squad this week, Andrew Duncan and Cameron MacLellan gain their very first call ups to the senior squad, joining other young guns such as Scott MacLeod, Ronan Sinclair and Ruairidh MacMillan, who have all received a level of first team experience. A great sign of the future to have so many youngsters coming through.

2015 Fixtures Launched

The Camanachd Association have released this season’s fixtures. Camanachd Leodhais will be competing in North Division Two. Our first game of the season will be against a rapidly improving Inverness at the Bught Park on March 7th.  We renew rivalries with Aberdeen University the next weekend, before a trip to Glengarry for our first meeting against the Lochaber club.

Our first visitors to Lewis will be Kilmallie this year on May 16th and we face a busy summer, before a few away games at the end of the season in Strathspey and Caberfeidh on September 12th.

We also look forward to the first ever league matches with our friends at Skye Camanachd on May 9th in Portree and July 4th in Shawbost. Also in the league are Boleskine and Lochaber, so it is sure to be a cracking league.

A full list of games can be found here.
