Any Leodhasachs or Hearachs or indeed anyone who wants to get on camera should head along to Boleskine’s Smith Park in Inverarnie near Inverness this Saturday 27th August for the 1pm throw-up of the club’s final game of the season. Alasdair “Pod” MacLean from macTV will be doing his filming gig as usual before he straps on his boots and picks up a caman for us next year! (So we’ve been told!)
Hopefully after a promising performance against Lochbroom on Saturday, we can go out on a high!
Then it’s down to the Camanachd Association Board of Directors to make sure we can keep doing this next year!
Come along to Inverlael near Ullapool to catch our penultimate game of the season against Lochbroom, the referee is John Sloggie and we are throwing up at 1.30pm – no parking at the pitch, you need to use the climbers’ lay-by at the old bridge.
Should be a good game and hopefully we can have a close one. Best wishes go to Davie and Ruby at the Broom Bar as Ruby is in hospital and we hope she gets well soon.
Also best of luck to Back FC in the Highland Amateur Cup Final tomorrow in the soccerball! See you guys on the ferry with the cup hopefully! http://www.backfc.com/#/back-tv/4540213379
Although the scorelines perhaps reflected a propensity for losing too many soft goals, there were some good highlights as we went down 6-1 to Cabers and 6-2 to Inverness in our final two home games. It has been a fantastic experience to have games in Shawbost and every visiting team has complemented us upon our endeavour and hospitality.
More to follow.
